The Governors and Senior Leadership Team of this expanding school are seeking to appoint three enthusiastic and creative primary teachers to join a hardworking, dedicated team who are committed to school improvement. Two of these positions are permanent and one is maternity cover. Part time applications are welcome.

These posts are not aimed to be in any particular year group, so applicants are asked to state their own strengths and experience across the primary phase or in particular year groups, key stages or areas. Experience in Early Years will be advantageous for at least one of the positions.

Post:                           OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR

Hours: 35 hours per week (8.30am to 4.00pm Monday – Friday, term-time only (including INSET days)

Contract:                    This is initially a fixed-term contract to end 31st August 2025 (to be reviewed)

Salary:                        Grade 3, point 3-7 (£20,082 full time equivalent)

Accountable to:        School Business Manager and ultimately the Headteacher

Purpose of job: To provide clerical and administrative support as a member of the school’s office team as directed by, and under the supervision of, the School Business Manager.

Start date:                  Monday 15th April 2024 (or as soon as possible after this date)

Closing date:             Midday on Friday 22nd March 2024

Main office and general duties

  • Reception and general office duties, including operation of the telephone system and arranging routine appointments for parents and visitors.
  • Assist with pupil first aid/ welfare duties, including administering medicines as appropriate.
  • Manage visitors in school, ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed.
  • Administer and maintain pupil records in Arbor.
  • Administer school meals through Arbor and liaise with the catering team as necessary.
  • Updating the school dinner menu in line with any changes and informing parents and staff.
  • Administer and update any dietary requirements.
  • Administer the process of Free School Meal applications.
  • Inputting data onto school systems.
  • Support other members of the office team as directed by the School Business Manager.
  • Administer the school website, digital signage and other external communications.
  • Assist with keeping parents informed of key daily messages from the school through the Arbor system.
