This statistical report provides information on the achievements of eligible pupils (typically 5 year olds). In 2020, following Covid-19 and official tests being cancelled, schools were able to make and submit voluntary assessments at Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFSP). Ordsall Primary School submitted their data their data based on the assessments of children that had been made across the milestones that had been set along with 82 other schools. The averages indicated above calculated from the Bassetlaw and Nottinghamshire Schools who submitted.

Year 1 Phonics Outcomes

The Phonics Screening Check is used at Ordsall Primary School to show how well your child can use the phonics skills they've learned up to the end of Year 1, and to identify students who need extra phonics help as they move into Year 2. The Department for Education defines the checks as “short, light-touch assessments” that take about four to nine minutes to complete. These are the outcomes of the Phonics Screening at Ordsall Primary School:

In 2020, as a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic, schools in Nottinghamshire were given the option to submit their data. Ordsall Primary School chose to submit their data based on the assessments of children that had been made using a similar methodology to the assessments and award of GCSE grades in 2020.

2020 KS2 Outcomes

Following the cancellation of end of key stage assessments in 2020, due to Covid-19, the NCC Performance, Intelligence and Policy team ran an optional data collection with which Ordsall Primary took part. The following analysis is based on the teacher assessed judgements submitted by schools.

COVERAGE / VALIDITY OF DATA

At the time of production, a total of 104 Nottinghamshire primary phase schools opted to take part in one or more end of key stage returns. These outcomes were shared with other local authorities conducting similar collections via NCER (National Consortium for Examination Results - a local authority community interest company) in order to produce a national average.

The following table relating to progress is based on NCER (National Consortium for Examination Results) data and LA submissions of optional 2020 KS2 pupil data which has then been matched back to KS1 prior attainment.
