  • It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Fri 24 Nov 2023 Mr Hopkinson

Things are definitely starting to feel a bit more 'Christmassy', with the school's Christmas tree getting decorated for the annual Christmas Tree Festival at St. Swithun's Church and the school's outside Christmas tree going up too - what a mission that was!

Nursery, Reception and Year 2 have been in full swing rehearsing their Christmas performances and are very much looking forward to showing them to parents in a couple of weeks' time.

  • Children in Need

Fri 17 Nov 2023 Mr Hopkinson

A massive thank you and well done to everyone that took part in raising money for Children in Need! As a school, we raised a fantastic £315.

  • Fun at Crowden

Fri 17 Nov 2023 Mr Hopkinson

Our year 6 children have had an incredible time on their residential to Crowden this week.

They have been very active, doing plenty of walking, weaselling and canoeing, as well as taking part in lots of different evening activities.

A huge thank you to the staff that have made the trip possible, from organising it to staying over!

You can check out the photos on the Year 6 Twitter feed.

  • A Day of Remembrance

Sun 12 Nov 2023 Mr Hopkinson

Today, on Remembrance Sunday, members of the School Council joined Armed Forces veterans, local councillors and dignitaries, as well as members of the public to pay their respects to the fallen at the Remembrance Service, taking place at Retford Cenotaph this morning. The children were exemplary and represented the school brilliantly.

  • Welcome Back!

Mon 06 Nov 2023 Mr Hopkinson

Welcome back to the new half term! I hope you all managed to spend some quality family time together over the two week half term. I have really enjoyed hearing about some of the Halloween and Bonfire Night activities the children have done.

This half term is a notoriously a busy one, and we have lots of exciting activities prepared for the children, including our Winter Disco and Nativity performances.
