Free School Meals

Universal Free School Meals

Ordsall Primary School is a government-funded school so your child will be able to get free school meal if they are in:

  • reception class
  • year 1

OR

  • year 2

This provision will change when your child goes into year 3 so it is important that all parents who may be eligible to receive Free School Meals click register so that they are able to find out if they are eligible. By doing this you may be enabling our school to claim a "pupil premium allocation". The pupil premium is additional funding given to publicly funded schools in England to raise attainment. By contributing to this additional funding for schools you can help us to buy new equipment, resources and staff to support your child and other children in the school.

You can check if your child can get free school meals in England and find out how to apply on our local authority’s website. The Department For Education also provides information for parents and carers which you can find by clicking HERE
