Salary Range   

Grade 3, SCP 9 – 13 (FTE 37 hours) (30 hours: £17,213 TTO, 23.75 hours: £13,627 TTO)

We are seeking to appoint two SEND support assistant who are enthusiastic about children’s learning, dedicated towards making a difference and have high expectations for all children. 

 

We are looking for people who:

  • have the ability to inspire children with a love of learning;
  • have high expectations for all children;
  • are hardworking and adaptable to change;
  • attend to pupils' personal needs and implement related personal programmes, including social, health, physical, personal care, first aid and emotional wellbeing, including the use of specialist equipment where necessary
  • are willing to undergo training in order to be a highly effective SEND support assistant
  • have excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills and is a true team player; and
  • can play an active part in the wider life of our school.

Applicants must have:

  • Experience working with children, ideally in a SEND or educational setting.
  • Understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and experience supporting children with diverse needs.
  • Patient, empathetic, and understanding approach to supporting students.
  • Strong communication skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and staff.
  • Positive and proactive attitude, with the ability to adapt to individual student needs.
  • Willingness to learn and participate in SEND-related training.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to meeting students' changing needs.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
