This week, we had the privilege of welcoming the award-winning author and screenwriter Frank Cottrell-Boyce to Ordsall Primary School. Frank is best known for his captivating children’s books such as Millions, Cosmic, and The Astounding Broccoli Boy, and he even helped write the opening ceremony for the London 2012 Olympics! In a special assembly, he introduced us to his latest book, Blockbusters, and shared fascinating stories from his work in the film industry. The children were truly inspired by his storytelling, humour, and top tips for writing their own books.

Frank’s visit gave us a wonderful insight into the world of books and movies, and reminded us all of the power of imagination and creativity.

Well done to our class attendance champions this week — Turner in Phases 1 and 2 with 98.5% and Lowry in Phase 3 with 98.4%.
