SATs Celebrations

We’d like to start this week’s update with a big congratulations to our Stars of the Week, who have all demonstrated our RESPECT values brilliantly. It’s always a pleasure to recognise the children who show resilience, effort, support, passion, enrichment, compassion and teamwork – well done to you all!

Well done also to our class attendance champions this week:
🏆 Matisse with 93% for Phases 1 and 2
🏆 Banksy with 96.2% for Phase 3

Every day really does count, so thank you for your continued support with school attendance.

This week has been an especially important one for our Year 6 pupils, who have now completed their SATs tests. We couldn’t be prouder of the resilience and effort they’ve shown throughout the week. They’ve approached each day with maturity, focus, and a great sense of teamwork.

To help them feel ready each morning, we’ve kept them fuelled with a daily breakfast, biscuits, and even bacon cobs on Thursday! Today, it’s time for them to celebrate all their hard work in style. We’ve brought in a range of huge inflatables for their end-of-SATs celebration – including an assault course, whack-a-mole, helter skelter, and even a human swing ball! It’s been a fantastic way to reward them and let them enjoy a well-earned break.

We’re also thrilled that Ordsall Primary School was featured on BBC Radio Nottingham today, sharing more about how we’ve been celebrating with our amazing Year 6 children. A great end to a very memorable week!

Have a lovely weekend.
