Handball success and other news

It has been another busy and exciting week at Ordsall Primary School, with a variety of opportunities for our children to Play, Learn and Grow.
Year 3 Drama Workshop
Our Year 3 children took part in a Mary Poppins-themed drama workshop this week, delivered by Performing Arts students from Retford Oaks Academy. The session was full of energy and creativity, with the children exploring characters, acting out scenes, and learning performance skills in a fun and engaging way. A big thank you to the Retford Oaks students for leading such a fantastic workshop.

Phase 3: Warhol – 99.2%
Both classes enjoyed a class treat as a reward for their excellent attendance. Well done to everyone in those classes – great commitment to learning.
Stars of the Week
This week’s Stars of the Week have continued to demonstrate our school’s RESPECT values through their actions, attitudes and achievements. We are proud of each and every one of them for setting such a positive example across the school.
Year 6 Handball Success
Some of our Year 6 pupils represented Ordsall Primary in a handball competition hosted at our school. They played six matches against three other schools, securing five wins and one draw. Their outstanding performance meant they finished as overall winners of the event. Congratulations to the team – an excellent display of the RESPECT value of teamwork.
Football Fixtures vs Sparken Hill
This week also saw our boys' and girls' football teams take on Sparken Hill Academy in two well-contested matches.
-
Our boys' team put in a fantastic performance, winning 4-0 with a great display of teamwork and effort.
-
Our girls' team showed excellent spirit and resilience in a competitive match, narrowly losing 2-0.
Well done to both teams – we’re proud of the way you represented the school both on and off the pitch.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back for the final week of term.
