This week, the children in Year 2 have been making the most of the autumnal sunshine as they headed out for a local walk.  They looked at and observed the human and physical features in Ordsall. 

Our Year 6 children have been bringing their learning to live.  After reading Pig Heart Boy by Malorie Blackman, real pig hearts were brought into the classroom, for the children to examine more closely and investigate the different parts and features.  It's safe to say that some children were not as enthusiastic as others!

Jungle Jo visited Year 4, a very much 'hands-on experience' that the children loved.  It was fantastic to see some of the animals up close and find out more about their individual behavioural traits and habitats. 

The newly elected School Council met this week for their first meeting.  They are representing the children in our school, ensuring that all voices are heard.  We can't wait to see the impact they have for the year ahead.

Finally, congratulations to our attendance champions this week: Van Gogh Class topped Phases 1 and 2 with a brilliant 100% attendance, and Cliff Class led the way in Phase 3, with 99.7%.
