OrdFest 2026!

It has been a week full of events and community spirit here at Ordsall Primary School.  On Monday, we started the week by launching our Careers event 'Dream Big'.  Children were encouraged to come to school wearing an outfit to represent an occupation.  The children didn't disappoint and we had some fabulous costumes.

We also held our annual 'OrdFest!' event this week.  Bringing together the whole school community, and although we had a last-minute change of time for the event, it was still extremely well-supported.  A big thank you to Johnny Flinton, a former pupil at Ordsall Primary, who hosted and compered the event.

The week came to a close with our first Careers Day.  Representatives from 10 different companies joined us and shared their career stories. The children and staff were left feeling inspired. A huge thank you to all those individuals who gave up their time and put so much effort into the event.

Next week, our Year 6 children begin their transition journeys, as they visit their chosen secondary school.  We would like to wish them all the very best of luck and can't wait to hear all about their adventures when they return.

Finally, congratulations to our attendance champions this week: Turner Class topped Phases 1 and 2 with a brilliant 98.8% attendance, and Picasso Class led the way in Phase 3, with 97.7%.
