Community Support

This week, our Year 4 and Year 5 School Councillors joined North Notts Bid to help litter pick in Retford town.  We were given the task of litter picking in Kings Park.  The sun was shining, and the children worked as a team to clear all the litter from in and around the park.  Well done to everyone who took part in this event, you should all be proud of yourselves.

On Friday, we supported the national charity 'Comic Relief'.  The theme this year was 'Dress Funny for Money' and everyone looked fantastic.  Odd socks and shoes, clothes back to front, fancy dress, crazy hair and pyjamas were just a few of the many and varying outfits.  On Friday we raised £373.00.  Thank you for your wonderful support.

As well as dressing 'funny for money', we have also been selling Red Noses.  We sold out and raised a fantastic £900.  Bringing our grand total for Comic Relief to £1,273.  Thank you to everyone for raising such a fantastic amount for an amazing charity.

Congratulations to all of our Stars of the Week for proudly displaying our RESPECT values: Resilience, Effort, Support, Passion, Enrichment, Compassion and Teamwork.

Finally, congratulations to our attendance champions this week: Riley Class topped Phases 1 and 2 with a brilliant 98.5% attendance, and Johnstone,Monet and Warhol Classes all led the way in Phase 3, with 97.8%.
