Paralympian Visit

The School Councillors started the week off by visiting the Tree Festival at St Swithun's Church and the Star & Nativity Festival at The Grove and Methodist Centre. They completed trails and quizzes and listened to the organ being played. There was even a treat of juice and biscuits which was very well received.
On Wednesday, we held our Winter Disco. The children who attended had a wonderful time. There were some brilliant dance moves on show!
On Thursday, our Year 6 children had the opportunity to meet and train with a Paralympian. Maddie Thompson has competed as a Paralympian in women's wheelchair basketball. She led PE sessions and spoke to the children, reminding them that 'Being DIFFERENT is a good thing'.
