Time to Remember and Reflect

We have had an incredibly busy week at Ordsall. Monday saw the start of Anti-Bullying Week where we all proudly wore our Odd Socks to school. What a fabulous sight!
On Tuesday, everyone paused for two minutes' silence to remember and reflect on the importance and significance of Armistice Day. The children in Year 4 also attended services both in Retford Town and All Hallow's Church in Ordsall. The School Council also attended the Remembrance Service at Retford Cenotaph.
The children in Early Years celebrated Nursery Rhyme Week. There were some wonderful costumes and some fabulous singing! Well done to everyone!
Thank you to everyone who purchased books from the Book Fair recently. We had a fantastic response and, as a result, our school now has £903.65 to spend on new books for our library and classrooms.
We finished the week off celebrating Children In Need. The children all looked wonderful in their variety of non-uniform outfits and there were many Pudsey bear outfits and ears on view. We raised a fantastic £378.96, thank you so much for your amazing support.
Congratulations to all of our Stars of the Week for proudly displaying our RESPECT values: Resilience, Effort, Support, Passion, Enrichment, Compassion and Teamwork.
Finally, congratulations to our attendance champions this week: Constable Class topped Phases 1 and 2 with a brilliant 100% attendance, and Monet Class led the way in Phase 3, also with 97.4%.
