Reading and Magic

This week, we had a visit from author Ross Welford.  He gave a wonderful and inspiring talk to the children in Phase 3, combining his love for writing books with magic.  The children also had the opportunity to purchase Ross' new book and get it signed too!  If you missed out on a copy, you can purchase them from Wonderland Bookshop in Retford.

On Tuesday, officers from Nottinghamshire Police joined the children for lunch.  This was a great opportunity for the children to chat to the officers and get to know them.  The Police Officers certainly enjoyed the school dinner too – especially the cake!

Well done to our girls netball team, who played their first match this season against Sparken Hill, narrowly losing by 3 goals to 2.

Congratulations to all of our Stars of the Week for proudly displaying our RESPECT values: Resilience, Effort, Support, Passion, Enrichment, Compassion and Teamwork.

A huge well done and congratulations to those children who have achieved a brick on the Wall of Success.  Keep up the great work!

Finally, congratulations to our attendance champions this week: Hockney Class topped Phases 1 and 2 with a brilliant 97.4% attendance, and O'Keeffe Class led the way in Phase 3, with 96.9%.
